Hale ("we," "us," or "our") provides a fitness platform for workout tracking, nutrition logging, health metrics, and trainer services. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the application.

These terms govern access to and use of the Hale application and related services. By using Hale, you agree to this agreement.

1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Hale.
- Users under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- By creating an account, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement.
2. Accounts
Registration
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping it current.
Security
You must safeguard login credentials and notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Responsibility
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless reported as unauthorized.
3. Permitted use
Service scope
Hale provides tools for fitness tracking, nutrition logging, analytics, and optional trainer connectivity. Features may change as the product evolves.
Prohibited conduct
- Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to disrupt platform security.
- Using the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
- Harassing users or uploading abusive, infringing, or inappropriate content.
- Misrepresenting identity or impersonating another person or organization.
4. Health disclaimer
Not medical advice
Hale is a fitness and wellness tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional health advice.
- Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting or changing an exercise or nutrition program.
- Physical activity carries inherent risk. You participate at your own discretion and responsibility.
- Stop activity and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or other adverse symptoms.
5. Payments
Subscriptions
Certain features may require paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Pricing, billing intervals, and renewal terms are disclosed at checkout.
Processing
Payments are handled by third-party app store providers. Hale does not store full payment card details on its servers.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your app store account settings before the renewal date.
Price changes
We may adjust pricing with reasonable notice. Changes apply to future billing cycles unless otherwise required by law.
6. Refunds
- Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
- Subscription refund requests may need to be submitted through your app store provider.
- We may issue refunds at our discretion for verified billing errors or service failures caused by Hale.
7. Intellectual property
Hale content
Software, branding, design, and platform content are owned by Hale or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Hale a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service.
8. Third-party services
Hale may integrate with third-party platforms such as app stores, payment processors, and health data providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Hale is not responsible for third-party products or practices.
9. Termination
- You may stop using Hale at any time by deleting the app or requesting account deletion.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect platform integrity.
- Termination does not eliminate payment obligations for charges already incurred.
10. Limitation of liability
Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hale is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including:
- Personal injury or health-related outcomes
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunity
- Data loss or service interruption
- Issues arising from third-party integrations
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Hale harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms.
12. Changes to terms
- We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes.
- Material updates will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
- Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
